Cool song from Shakira, Im rooting for England of course , may the best team win :) I am hoping maybe to find some pub/bar that will be showing the match live and we can go cheer them on , well maybe I will be a lone supporter for England being in a US State but all the same it could be fun.

Tie game, at least they ea. get a point. I'm not a huge fan of footie/soccer, but I probably could be if I had friends...had friends that liked it, too. -grin-

I keep up w/ the standings of most pro teams in England; I have a friend over there who has sent me Chelsea gear.

I've played in a few tie ball games; we tied the Oklahoma state champs one year 40-40 and a few other times as well.

A tie is like buying a scratch ticket for a dollar and winning a dollar on it. It's better than losing, but you still didn't win.

A tie, it's also been said, is like kissing your sister.

Guess a tije was better than loosing altogether, I think the Americans played well and it would have actually been great for them to win after trying so hard, well I don't watch too much football either unless it is one of the more exciting important matches ,well I only got to watch it on our own TV in the end with Chester and me cheering opposite teams, still nice though ,
thanks for posting.

The older I get, the less I care about sports. I still am a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, but it's sure in a lot more perspective than I had when I was younger.

I could care less about going to nearly any game and I can watch the pro games on TV if I like, better w/ the replays. I have a thing about huge crowds, too.

I found I really enjoy going to watch the little guys play baseball best of all. The Little League complex isn't too far from here and it's cheap entertainment, plus it supports the teams and the community.

This word verification thing is weird, but Blogger's is much easier than many others. The word is "hopporr".

That's what one Scot frog on a lily pad said to another on another pad.

This -from a joke website- popped up in my reader just now:

Soccer Heckling - Vic Henley

"All the British fans start singing to the German fans, 'If you won the war, stand up!' Right, I think this is the greatest thing I've ever heard at a sporting event because there's no snappy comeback for that, is there?"
